Rebecca Messner is a junior at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she studies Advertising and Marketing Communications with minors in English, Film & Media Studies, and Economics. She is the Administrative Assistant of Fern Mallis (Creator of NYFW).  

She is the Co-Host & Executive Producer of FIT’s Blush Podcast, where she has curated an influential roster of fashion and media figures, such as Fern Mallis, Versha Sharma, Emil Wilbekin, Leah Faye Cooper, Robyn Mowatt, Julia O’Mara, and more. 

She also writes for The Blush Magazine and has a recent byline in the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Beyond reporting and podcasting, she has experience across production and marketing strategy in theatre, film, and television. 

Rebecca enjoys managing teams and served as Womenswear Chair for FIT’s Runway27, with sponsors including Acne Studios, Glossier, and Retrofête. In 2023, she interned in Product Development & Sustainability at Vitra in Basel, Switzerland, contributing to the 2025 Art Basel collaboration.

Rebecca graduates in May 2027 and plans to continue building a career in editorial and cultural storytelling.
